About Our Leader
We are backed by a second-generation electrician, Carey Frick, who started off working for his dad’s electrical company in high school, earning his master’s license only four years after graduating high school. Once achieving his master’s license, he and his father decided that he would leave his dad’s company. He started a new adventure; guess what it was another electrical company. An electrical company that started just like his fathers: servicing the electrical needs in Jacksonville. An electrical company in which he ran for nine years before returning to work for his father utilizing the skills, he had learned by getting hands-on with his own company. He spent nearly a half decade working his way up the ranks, studying and obtaining his PMP Certification. Which landed him in the top tier of the Project managers at the company. Eventually, Carey decided to leave the company to spend time with his family. From there, he began a small electrical company that would allow him the opportunity to spend more time with his family. Waterside Electric was established. This is where he worked further on expanding his electrical knowledge by specializing in electrical installations for pools and docks. In 2022, the opportunity came for him to become the leader behind Vanguard’s team of electricians.
